GENERAL GUIDELINES TO THE APPLICANT FOR AVAILING HT POWER SUPPLY FOR INDUSTRIES AT 11 KV AND UPTO A LOAD OF 1000 KVA

1. The applicants are required to furnish the following documents:

  • Clearance from SWA/HLC /NOC or License from local body as the case may be.
  • Site plan of the premises.(Please mark the space for the proposed location of HT metering cubicle)

2. Pay Rs. 250/- as registration fees at the cash counter of the division office and produce the receipt while registration.

3. The spot, for which you desire power supply, will be inspected by the Asst. Exe. Engineer (Elecl) of the concerned O&M sub division in the presence of the applicant to locate the position of the metering cubicle and to prepare the estimate.

The following deposits are to be paid by applicant on being intimated:

  • Initial security deposit.
  • Meter security deposit.
  • Infrastructure charges.

ISD

HT-2(a) (Industrial)

Rs.2460/- per KVA upto 500KVA

Rs.2640/- per KVA from 501 to 1000KVA

MSD

HT cubicle Rs.55240/-

(These rates are subjected to change from time to time)

4. Present completion cum test report from a Licensed Electrical Contractor approved by the Govt. of Karnataka along with wiring diagram in duplicate along with machinery and transformer details.

5. The agreement is to be executed in TRIPLICATE with original embossed/stamp paper for Rs. 50/- duly signed on all pages.

6. Observe all the conditions as per the power sanction intimation within 90 days from the date of sanction.

7. The prospective customers are to pay the infrastructure charges towards H T line extension , RMUs, etc., at the rates as mentioned below:

  • Rs 1500/- per KVA in areas where HT UG cable system is existing both in main and loop cables.

  • Rs 500/- per KVA in areas where HT overhead line system exists / part UG cable system exists.

The entire works as estimated will have to be carried out by the customer at his cost under self execution basis through class-1 LEC and the financial liability is limited to the above rates. The extra expenditure incurred (based on inventory) will be reimbursed by the KPTCL through adjustment in future electricity bills.

If the cost of works is less than the above calculated amount, then the difference amount will have to be paid to the corporation.

8. The following documents has to be presented:

a) Proof of purchase of all materials used in executing the line work, like Bills/ Invoices.

  1. b)Test certificates of the transformer and switchgear etc.,

9. Provide capacitors of appropriate capacity to maintain the power factor of the installation above 0.85 in every billing period to avoid power factor penalty.

10. The capacity of any individual machine shall not be more than the contract demand.

11. The required electrical Inspectrate certificate as per rule 63(3) of IE Rules 1956 is to be furnished by applicant for commissioning the transformer & equipments before availing service.

NOTE: The HT supply can be availed upto minimum contact demand of 25KVA.

12. Tariff charges:

HT 2   (a) Industrial

  1. (a) Demand charges -

  2.             Rs.150/- per KVA per month of  billing   demand.
  3.                  PLUS

    (b) Energy charges -

    (i) Rs. 3.10 pu upto one lakh units.

    (ii) Rs.3.40 pu between 1 to 2 lakhs.

    (iii) Rs.3.55 pu above 2 lakhs units.
