PREAMBLE :
As per Section-19 of KER Act-1999 (Karnataka Act-25 of 1999), the
Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) has granted
supply licence to KPTCL for carrying on the Business of Supply of
Electricity in letter No. R/01/0/1410 dated 07.12.2000
As per Section 23.2 of Supply Licence granted to KPTCL, KERC has
approved the procedure for handling complaints from the consumers
about the manner in which the Licensee (KPTCL) conducts its supply
business.
The approved Complaint Handling and Redressal Standards relating to
Distribution and Supply of Power (Standards of Performance) have
already been published in the Official Karnataka Gazette on
18.10.2001. KERC in their letter dated 20.11.2001 has notified the
date of adoption of the above standards by KPTCL be with effect from
01.01.2002. Hence this order.
